Light Painting

For this assignment, I was told to take five pictures of light movement using the slow shutter speed of the camera. Josh helped me by using his phone as a flashlight and doing the "light painting". The first one was a star repeated multiple times. The second one is the infinity sign repeated multiple times. The third on is a happy face which was made by making one part and turning off the light to move to the next part and making that part. The following one reads NOU which is commonly said at Marshall. The last one is is comparing the height of Josh and I.

Photowalk

For this project, I was supposed to walk around the school and take at least five pictures of interesting things using the strategies I had learned for the 30 Day Photo Challenge. I started by taking a picture of a bee using the rule of thirds. I then took a picture of a water fountain with moving water using the rule of thirds to give it "moving space". I then took a picture of a light using the worm's eye view because it would be cool to have the sun peaking out from on top of the light. I then took a picture of a tree doing the same thing I followed by taking a picture of a railing using the depth of field because the background is blurred.

Macro Setting Photo Shoot

For this project, I was told to simply take interesting pictures of tiny things using the macro setting on the camera. I chose to base the pictures on either movement or things that things do. The first one is a person doing a handstand which people do. I took this using a stikbot. The next one was a stikbot in the position of sitting on a bench or chair without one which is a joke of the "invisible bench". The third one is of a cat running which looks cool when it has the running space in the picture. The following one is of a cat sitting which is a strange position that looks cool for this. The last one is of a dime spinning which looks cool in a picture which gives it moving space.

Puzzle Face

For this project, I was told to take a picture of me and put facial features on in with the look of puzzle pieces. I chose to make many facial features changed using the photos above. I used one of the pictures as the base, put the special parts of each picture on the base and made a background.

Emotion Portraits

For this project, I was told to take five or more pictures of someone that show emotions of the person. I chose to take photos of Josiah because we both needed pictures of each other for this and I simply took the pictures, put them in the chart, put the color that matched it behind it and named it.

Color Focus On Greyscale Image

For this project, I was told to take an image, discard the color and make only a part of it colored to focus the image on it. I chose to use an image of Messi's celebration and make the parts of his jersey that describe him in color. Because these parts were all yellow, it matched each other very well. These parts of his jersey are his name which is known worldwide, his number which is famously his, and his armband which makes him the captain of F.C. Barcelona. I made these parts colored by having two versions of the image and discarding the color information of one of them. I then selected these parts of the colorful image and moved these colored pieces into the greyscale image.

Old Self With New Self

For this project, I was told to simply put my old self with my new self. I took this literally by putting my "old" self with my current self. I chose to put my "old" self next to the door because it looked as if my "old" self was knocking on a door. I then turned my "old" self darker because it would match the image better.

Repetition Portrait

For this assignment, I was told to make a portrait of me that repeats itself in a creative way. I chose to make my photo repeat itself in my eye because I always wanted to do that as a kid (too stupid to actually do it then). I took the photo and made a gigantic photo to put it in. I then stacked the photos and surrounded the layers with a rainbow gradient.

Zombify Yourself

For this project, I was told to take an image of myself and photoshop it to make myself look like a zombie. I started by putting cracks on my face by putting a layer of cracks on and making the layer low opacity and multiply blend. I then made the part of my face that looked as if it were peeling by putting the layer of rust on and doing the same thing as the cracks except for the opacity. I then put blood in and dripping out of a few cracks by simply moving them and shaping them. I then turned the blood green to make it look more zombie.

Celebrity Photobomb

For this assignment, I was told to take an image and put a celebrity in it that matches the image. I chose to take one of my photos of Hawaii from my 30 Day Photo Challenge. I then took a picture of Jeremy Clarkson and put him in the picture. I then had to darken him a little to match the image, but that was all I had to do to fit him in.

Contour/Collage Portrait

For this project, I was told to make a self-portrait of me that was close up and only make my face in the picture. I was then supposed to surround my face with things that I wanted to (that makes me). I chose to make my face surrounded by things from the Marvel Cinematic Universe because I love Marvel.

Photoshop Makeover

For this assignment, I was told to give myself a makeover through photoshop. I chose to take an image of me that was a mirror with my two eyes pointing outward. I then made my lips red and hair blond by selecting the area and coloring it at low opacity.

Image in Text

For this project, I was told to make text with an image. I decided to put the American flag in the word "peace". I did this by si...
